Update of classification of products containing Pyrethrum Extract
The Pyrethrum Extract supplier has informed that the concerned active ingredient has undergone significant updates regarding the nomenclature, the CAS number and its classification.UPDATED NAME: Chrysanthemum cinerariaefolium (these are at least four compounds contained in variable concentrations in the Pyrethrum Extract obtained with solvents from the open and ripe flowers of Tanacetum cinerariifolium).
CAS NUMBER: 89997-63-7
The updated CLASSIFICATION provides for the introduction of the phrase H317 “May cause an allergic skin reaction” which consequently requires updating of the classification and labeling of products that contain an amount equal to or greater than 1% technical, as required from the CLP Regulation.
The aforementioned updates do not imply, however, any change in the molecule of the active ingredient: the chemical structure, therefore the active part of the molecule, remains identical.
